about
This song features one of the coolest sequences ever discovered - the fibonacci sequence. Of course, it shoots out toward infinity, so when I tried "listening to it" in high school, I quickly stumbled upon the notion of what I later found to be called "modular arithmetic."
Modular arithmetic is also sometimes referred to as "clock arithmetic," because it is like arithmetic that occurs around a circle...instead of a line. Long story short, I was able to hear the fibonacci sequence by having it travel around a "circle" of pitches.
In this case, the number of pitches used to sonify the fibonacci sequence is 13 - the number of pitches in an octave, including the octave.

Well, the fibonacci sequence did determine the pitch sequence for the bass line ... but I did the rest! ^_^
