"Computers (now have primary) Control (of critical vehicle functions)" means precisely what we now refer to as "Automatic Pilot," and thus the name of this particular remix at 144 bpm.

Didn't mention much about the structure of this piece in the original mix description so perhaps I'll just say here: it is primarily based around the rhythmic motif played out between the bass drum and the toms.

Another interesting note: the variation in the harmonies actually came about by accident...at first. I looked at them afterward, listened carefully, and decided they were perfect for this piece - like a computer carrying an error forward just as nonchalantly as any other computation.

Much of the rest of the sounds in this song come from two main effects - distortion and reverb - meticulously applied to the fundamental voices of the piece. The particular way in which these effects are applied are, well, yet another integral element of the compositional structure.

Many subtle details litter the ambiance of this piece...which can you make out?
